Over the year we have been given a variety of tasks and methods for exploring subject matter both visually and factually as well as generating ideas, in particular through restrictions.

Techniques and Process used:

- Drawing using collage, rubbings, continuous lines, tape
- Pick up objects
- Make something in a place / space
- Fold , Photocopy and build with Paper
- Document type, signs and lettering
- Find grid systems to create letterforms
- Use cheap/ found materials to create typography
- Place made typography in context
- Use limited shapes
- Use one letterform, cut and repeat it
- Change existing type
- Draw using one line, two lines etc
- Photocopy on different papers
- Photocopy and distort
- Overlay colour
- Collage thin strips of tape
- Animate designs
- Make 2D type 3D
- Choose a word and create a series of collages to illustrate word
- Collect found type

- Use Adobe Capture to create vectors and patterns
- Research definitions, synonyms and etymology

- Research its use in the media e.g. TV, Radio etc
- Use a text editing programme to create conceptual drawings
- Use a spreadsheet programme to create drawings
- Create a collection about your subject / object
- Recreate music in Illustrator
