It was also said within the crit that pages would be needed for a contents page and a title page was also included for the beginning of the book as this is traditionally done within publishing. Each of the designs focuses on using simple materials as a way of communicating the prompt or technique, however also aims not to influence the users own idea generation, by using quite broad and abstract examples.
Keeping the design quite simple meant that there would be a consistent amount of negative space across most of the designs. However some would use photographs which would look different to some of the other high contrast imagery within the booklet so this would have to be considered further. The book pages will use full spread images with the text placed like a footnote at the bottom of the page, which will allow the book to be visually engaging as well as informative.
