Pantone your Street - Photographs of Street

Photographs of the Area

When walking around Light Night a performance piece was being showed on the green in the middle of this street of houses. The buildings along the road were traditionally built red brick town houses which was a sharp contrast to the university buildings and city blocks that were all around it. I had often walked past the entrance to the houses however had never noticed they were there as they were quite hidden away making it a nice surprise to find traditionally built houses.

Within many of the images the house at the end of the street was the main focal point of the photograph. To draw the eye towards the house the images were framed so that the perspective of the roads and other houses were leading you along to the end building.

Centrally placing the house within the image created an obvious focal point. The door to the house is centrally located also, with the road leading your eye into the building. The contrast of environments within the image create an interesting composition. The traditional houses on the left are opposite in style to the skyscrapers in the background and this urban environment contrasts with the natural park. The richness of  bricks and natural tones of the plants, combined with the colours of the office buildings will allow for a varied colour swatch to be produced.
