Charles Worrall and Isla Pierce in collaboration with Peter and Paul
Th create the concept and promotional materials for the end of year show
engage, be proud of , fulfill client requirements
Reflect creativity in an innovative way - show the hardwork and talent of the exhibition students
Research into previous years - strong type , minimal, clean , highly photography - a little corporate
Original submission - photography - objects in the hand - middle ground between creative and something that the college will like - 'In the Works' - each subject represented by an object and colour
Feedback
more variety of objects
needed to reflect the object as a whole
tools were to literal
name hard to connect to the idea or approach
Development
inspiration - encapsulate whole collage - group of objects in a mass
scale was a problem - only them - hard to produce something with lots of objects
Final concept
Needed to put brand values in - link to the company
student centred
creative communities
critical thinking
professional
progressive
Extraordinary - name
Extraordinary People etc - keep changing the second word
concept speaks to wider audience - objects can be related to by other people outside the course
Having a slide full of ideas - punches idea - shows concept is strong
Bold colours - really strong - multiple hands - neon - adapted from the collage guidelines - sits with other branding despite being bright
colours and type - circular - quirky - bold
Mock ups - needs to compete against graffiti - see how it would work
block outside the college - need one poster - cheaper - instead used four sides folded around the block with a different image on each side - interaction - people look around it
Getting rid of printed invites and pushed digital invites
holding it up victoriously - like they are proud - human edge - pink makes them surreal
two week turnaround
when presenting - not much text - photographs - do it in your own tone of voice - don't have a script - get more nervous - turn to other people in group to see if everything is done before moving on - presentation colour toned down version of the collage guidelines
