Working out Pagination
Creating rough 'booklets' meant that it was easier to visualise which pieces of information would be on the same page when printed. Using this rough mock up also meant that the amount of blank pages at the end of the 'booklet' could be seen. In the initial mockup it was found that a few pages would be blank, however in the following mockup it was found that extra pages would be needed for certain categories.
It was found on some pages that there were individual lines of text at the bottom of the page, which looked out of place. To solve this the paragraph after the individual line was moved to before it so that there was a block of text at the bottom. The individual line did not stand out as much when placed within the second column further down.
Creating a complete mock up of the booklet, found that gaps between images an text had to be increased in areas, to keep it consistent and less cluttered.
It was also found that images needed to be reduced in order to fit within the bounds of the column grid, reducing the likelihood of it looking out of place. The booklet would be printed double sided using the printer at home, which would mean the outcome would be slightly smaller than A5 because of trimming .
