Studio Brief 4 - Survey

Surveying peoples experiences on Foundation

To help collect some ideas for prompts for the project, people who had done a Foundation, were asked about tasks and ways of working that they had experienced on their course.

Tasks that were talked about:
 - Illustrating a non-word (a word that wasn’t actually in the dictionary) e.g nonversation
- Given a word that didn't have meaning in the English language but does in another. These then had to be visualised.
- Went on a walk and recorded it using only lines
- Make a shelter out cardboard and string
- Who could make the best aeroplane / boat
- Drawing with your mouths
- Had to bring in a Kitchen utensil and food item. The food item had to be painted with the utensil and the utensil had to be painted with the food item.
- Photographed typography in environment to make an alphabet
- Mark making using things found on the floor
- Picked a scientific process then had to collage visualisations of the process e.g. radiation
