Layout of the designs on the panels

- To create the designs for each side of the bird boxes the frames of the panels were positioned over the designs so that different areas of the bark pattern were reflected, creating different designs on each side of the box
- It was decided that each of the bird boxes would be a different size so the panel size varied

- For the front panels designs that were less full and more compositionally balanced were used as these would be the ones you would see first. This would also allow enough space for the holes to be put on the front without interfering too much with the design.

- The shapes within the line drawings were refined further so that thinner and thicker lines flowed into one another better

- The designs were also outlined and merged to make them suitable for rastering the designs on the lasercutter
