Roller Experiments

For the 'King' initial concept the idea of rollering / painting over someones work and creating a new piece of work over the top was going to be explored.

Within the design rollered / painted strokes would be used however it was considered that creating these digitally would not create the same effect as the actual process. With this in mind some experiments were carried out with some black paint.

Two different roller heads were used however the foam one was more successful as it printed cleaner than the more furry one.

Doing multiple strokes without applying more pain to the roller allowed for faded and textured strokes to be created.

A range of different designs were created with the two brushes with some focusing purely on one brush stroke and others layered the brush strokes over one another as they would be within the design. Lines of different lengths were also created so that there were a variety of deigns to play with digitally.
