Lasercutting the designs
Each of the designs were separated into separate shapes and layers so that they could be lasercut. Using settings for paper on the lasercutter allowed the paper not to be burned on the front and slightly on the back however this would not be seen. Using the lasercutter allowed all of the fine details to be cut accurately and quickly. The designs were then layered up on the corresponding coloured card with double sided sticky pads used to stick the pieces together. These worked effectively at creating enough space between the layers to create shadows within the designs.
