OUGD603 - Brief 3 - Internal Collaborative - YCN Competition Brief - Art Fund - Initial Ideas Mock Ups - Colour combinations in Imagery

Colour combinations in Imagery

- After our last meeting, some experiments with using either, coloured imagery on a coloured background or black and white imagery on a coloured background, were tested.

- Using the multiple function in Photoshop for the background imagery allowed the colours of the images to be much more consistent across designs.

- As discussed with Meg the colours were chosen based on the colours used by Art Fund in their branding. Restricting the designs to two colours created a bold and playful aesthetic.
- Within the design the colours would alternate between a set palette of colours.

- Meg redrew some of the pot designs in a similar style to the stature designs. The use of the ink washes within the illustrations created shadowing within the designs which made the illustrations more three dimensional and therefore stand out against the background.
