OUGD603 - Brief 7 - Build a home for Wildlife - Initial Ideas - Discussion with technicians about processes available to use

Discussion with technician about processes available to use

- both the CNC cutter and wood turning facilities would not be available to use due to maintenance in the wood work shop
- to use cement at university the correct materials would have to be bought elsewhere and brought in. The Blue Circle Ready to Use Quickset concrete or Blue Circle General Purpose Cement was suggested. A bag of sand would also be needed to mix with the cement. Aggregate can be added to the mixture to create a coarser mix
-  Moulds would be made out of cardboard to make the shapes, any inserts would have to be made using something that is retractable
- it would take three days for the designs to dry enough to remove the moulds and potentially longer for it to set completely depending on the thickness
