Key things needed for playing pieces, stickers and instructions
There needs to be 31 pieces / stickers (see word document)
- 10 watermelon pieces with different pip combinations
- 9 kiwi pieces with different pip combinations
- 9 orange pieces with different pip combinations
- One kiwi, orange and watermelon with no pips (these will be the pipped! tiles)
The design of the pieces / stickers
- make sure pips are clear and a consistent size across the designs
- designs need to fit in the quarter circle template for the playing pieces and instructions (see sticker illustrator file)
- the three fruit designs should be the same aside from the pip number e.g. all the kiwis have the same basic design with only the pips changing
- the positioning of the pips for each number on the different fruits needs to be roughly the same e.g. two pips on a kiwi segment need to be positioned the same across all the kiwi segments, four pips on an orange needs to be the same across all the orange segments etc
- The divide between the two halves of each piece needs to be clear and integrated into the design
Limit designs to three / four colours?
- Colours should come from swatches (see illustrator file)
- Colours used within the design will appear exactly as on screen on the stickers because they will be digitally printed onto white vinyl
Pieces need to be able to be vinyl cut
- Do any colour on a separate layer to the black drawings because this layer will be the one used for the vinyl cutter
- The pips shouldn’t be too close to the black template line otherwise they might be cut off
Instructions Illustrations
- Need some designs using the fruit for parts of the instructions (see word document)
