OUGD505 - Studio Brief 2 - City Patch Project - Newsletter Typesetting

Newsletter Body Text Adjustments

When some of the pages from the newsletter were printed out it was found that the body text was quite big despite only being 10pt. It was also found that for some of the articles and information not as much text would be needed so the text boxes could be made smaller which would allow more space within the design. Reducing the body text point size to 8pt was still legible when printed at full size. Also reducing the text box size from two squares across to one allowed the line length to become more manageable. When looking at other magazines with similar content it was found that line lengths were between five to eight words. Using text boxes that were one square across allowed for a similar line length. Titles within the design were type set to match the logotype creating consistency between elements.
