Distribution of Design
The City Patch Project Member pack will be sent out to people who have signed up for a monthly membership with the project. The member pack is then posted to the new member.
How people would find the design:
- The target audience will already have an existing interest in nature, wildlife and will value green space, they may also already be part of similar memberships. This interest means that they will most likely follow blogs , websites or read magazines about these themes so the City Patch Project subscription could be promoted within these.
- Within the patches themselves there will be brand elements promoting the project. Patch signs will be in each green space asking people to donate or volunteer in their local patches. The large footfall around cities means that they will see these promotional elements all the time making the project visible to a wide audience. By having local promotion within the patches this makes people more likely to get involved because they have a personal connection to the area, therefore motivating them to do something.
- Existing members / volunteers will recommend the project to their friends and family spreading the word through word of mouth.
- Members will receive a car sticker in their membership pack this will allow members to show their support for the project and allows exposure of the scheme to others across the country making the projects reach wide.
- Visitors to the area will find the patch map at the tourist information centre as the scheme will become a source of tourism for areas that it is run in. People will go to see the patches and want to know more about the scheme and how they can support it or join in their local area.
- The City Patch Project website is where people will sign up to volunteer or become a member.
- The target audience is 20 - 29 year olds, with this demographic using social media frequently the audience is likely to share content about any events or visits to patches, encouraging people to visit the spaces
- Patch events, which are listed in the newsletter / website but open to everyone will draw people to the patches creating interest in the project.
