OUGD505 - Studio Brief 2 - City Patch Project - Considering themes for the branding

Themes within the City Patch Project





Qualities of spaces 

- each of the spaces will be different sizes
- all will be or have different habitats within them 
- ground / texture types will be different 
- each space will have a different features and facilities
- all will be in different states and will either need to be maintained, renewed or protected

Community / Local projects 

- the project would be national but would focus on areas that are local to the people that join
- allows people to engage with it more and makes it more personal
-  theme of being close or near 

City Patches

- patches all around a city
- patches at different locations and places within the city
- theme of urban vs nature , buildings vs plants, which could be visualisated as square vs circle , the geometric and organic


Regeneration

- new spaces will be created through regeneration
- spaces will be changed from one thing to another 

Maintaining and Protecting 

- protecting spaces similar to designated space / area or setting space aside for green space
- idea of marking out designated space
- maintaining means to look after or tend

Connection 

- animals and wildlife connected through stepping stones / wildlife corridors which act as a belt of land linking two areas 
- patches benefit both nature and people 
- patches connect nature with people and allow them access to nature
- patches connect people as it is done on a local / community scale, which brings people together to help make the patches
