Studio Brief 2 - Object - Drawings

Drawings

Visualisations of sand timers using sequential drawings, which could be interesting as an animation, comic strip or flip book.

A Pendulum created using simple shapes visualises motion through repetitive circular elements. This is also represented through the use of dots. With a dot providing an anchor for the other dot to swing from. A dot in motion creates a line (Hoffman), this represents the swing motion of the dot.

Sundial representations from different perspectives with shadows created by the shapes.

Water clock represented in a clear container with the marks representing time intervals.

Dandelion clock represented through the simplification of seed head elements. The design focuses on the naturally occurring symmetrical format of the seed head. The Dandelion clock term comes from the game children play where they blow the seeds off a dandelion to tell the time. This idea is represented by removing seeds from the main seed head.
