Representing music in Illustrator
‘Clocks’ by Coldplay
The peaks represent changes in the music when it becomes
faster or louder. The gradient also coincides with these changes, with the
lighter parts being quieter and the darker parts being the busiest.
The colours used in the design represent the different instruments within the song. Each line represents different parts of the song, which are then simplified further into the key parts within that section of music.
