Refinement of Schedule and Feedback
Feedback had suggested that this was the strongest layout for the schedule. From the original design the shadows perspective was adjusted back to the original shadow as the group thought this was more effective.
- It was suggested in previous designs that it was perhaps sometimes hard to work out which text went with with day / bubble.
- All of the text was aligned to follow the same alignment as the bubbles beneath them.
- Also making the bubbles alternate from either side but going upwards meant there wasn't two groups of text next to each other in the centre of the design as there was in previous designs which made it slightly confusing to follow.
- Equal spacing was created between the main body text and the bubbles creating consistency within the layout. The main body text and the bubbles for each day were brought together to create more of a link between these pieces of information and to make it clearer which days were which.
- Leaving a slight border between the shadows from the bubble and the outline emphasised the shapes more and created more of a boundary between elements.
- Linking the shadows to the outside box meant that the shadows allowed the box to frame the shadows making it more natural.
- Moving the bubbles across allowed the day numbers and the other text to be lined up vertically creating a strong structure within the design.
Feedback on Refinements:
- The group preferred the designs where the shadows went up to the edge of the outline, however they suggested that perhaps the shadows could be extended to reach the edge of the outline as well rather than just being cut off like the logo.
- The shadows were extended to make the bubbles look more like they were expanding from outside the outline
- Kerning within the typeface Poppins is not very good between letters such as 'a' and 'v' and 'a' and 'y' as large gaps were created between these letters. These were brought together more to make the words with these letter look more natural.
