Museums and Wellbeing


Museums and Galleries provide: 

- space to relax and learn 
- allow people to take time out
- positive impact on personal wellbeing  


- In UK 40% of adults feel anxious at least some of the time

Museums and galleries: the UK's untapped wellbeing resource?

- 'art can help us see, think and feel differently'
- Art Fund started in 1903
- help museums and galleries to collect art and enable more access to their collections 
- 'these spaces are vital to society's wellbeing'
