Refinement
From feedback it was said that these three designs were the strongest in particular the bubble and leaf design.
It was considered how effective the designs would be at different sizes, because within the brief it said the design would have to be flexible. The lines within the pencils tend to become less visible at a smaller scale however the lower sizes are quite small so the logo may not be used at that size anyway.
Another variation of this design was tried with a slightly smaller pencil to make the Earth look larger and more unbalanced. The smaller pencil was more effective because it looked more impressive that it was holding up the Earth.
Adding a line underneath the pencil in this logo helps to ground the design, because before it looked unbalanced, like it was floating. Now the design looks more like a statue and permanent. Adjusting the Earths outline weight to match that of the pencil creates more consistency between elements and makes it stand out less.
The colour scheme was adjusted to be CMYK making the colours suitable for print and meant the colours would be the same on both screen and print.
The final colour scheme uses light green and dark green to provide contrast against one another, whilst evoking a sense of environment and growth and brown reflects an Earthy quality. Black is used to outline elements within the logos when used with another colour, whilst all the colours work well when used on their own for the whole design.
